I think that's absolutely necessary.

One thing which AFFS tried to do was represent free software businesses
in many ways (particularly, those involved in the community and
small/one-man-band businesses). In a way, I think that's one of the
things that can be jettisoned: I think focusing solely on the community
would be a good start.

I think also having half an eye on what other people are doing
(Openforum Europe =~ Open Document Alliance/Certified Open, Open Source
Consortium, National Open Centre (?)) in that area is worthwhile,
though.

There is a great history written about zero; I forget the author. Worth
a read though.

(I agree about numbered lists, but really don't care that much ;)
