I just got a combo pack (rx/tx) but  haven't installed yet. I hope that rx's ppm output will work without any modifications. Correct?

Hi folks,

Anyone else using FrSKY 2.4GHz radio equipment with their Paparazzi autopilots?

I have been using a DJT module in an old JR radio and the D8RSP receiver. Their P series receivers have a "CPPM" output which is directly compatible with LPC based Paparazzi autopilots without the need for a seperate PPM encoder. See http://www.frsky-rc.com/ShowProducts.asp?id=86

They offer bi-directional telemetry which can be configured for use as a low baud rate data link and also offer a number of telemetry sensors which could be interfaced directly with paparazzi autopilots. They openly publish their communication protocol so there is very little reverse engineering required for sensor  integration.

Cheers
Jeremy
