It is the 3.3V as in the wiki (TTL-232R-3V3).

The FTDI comes in a 3.3V and a 5V variant. It should be marked on the cable which version you are using.

I am just using a FTDI cable to connect the GPS directly to the laptop as in the wiki. The power is then supplied from the laptop.

Check the pin outs to be sure you are not supplying 5v to the 3.3v pin.

How is power supplied To the board?

I had exactly the same problem with exactly the same gps. I haven't found a solution for it yet.

Hello,

I am really having a hard time with the GPS. What previously worked in Ucenter is no longer working.

I plug the GPS through a FTDI cable and Ucenter is not able to read anything.

Any help? How should I proceed with Ucenter? The wiki is not useful for me anymore!

Thanks!

Setting the GPS up was extremely quick for us in uCenter and the only
thing the airframe required was defining the subsystem as "ublox". If
I were having this much trouble, I would hook up the GPS module to a
USB-to-UART connector and make sure the configuration didn't get wiped
due to a dead battery or something. If you're using Linux or OSX you
can check it with the "screen" command.

Our GS407 (based on uBlox LEA-5H) took probably a minute or two to get
it's first position lock outdoors.

I think this may be related to the fact that it doesn't identify any GPS signal and it works in a kind of failsafe mode automatically, can this be the reason? There is also an error in the Paparazzi Center saying "Unix.Unix_error(2, "read", "")". How can I get my GPS working? I have configured it with U-center and everything is ok, however, it never works when connected to Yapa.
