I've wondered how difficult it would be to:

  (i)   write a set of macros mimicking the html language
        .<P -> <p>
        .</P  -> </p>

  (ii) then modify OpenOffice to read this pseudo `.html' macro troff.

It would widen the user base of groff to anyone knowing html, and give
the current groff base a wysiwyg interface.
