No, no thanks. This is just happening over and over and over
again -- everytime I try to help someone new.

Since when has CDRecord-ProDVD _ever_ supported DVD+R/+RW
media? Jorg only added DVD+RW _drive_ support to recording
DVD-R/RW media over a year or so ago. We have discussed this
several times now, Sony/Philips DVD+RW drives are of a
completely different approach and firmware than DVD
Consoritum DVD-RAM/RW drives.

With that said, please re-read your statement ...

"Haven't used -prodvd in years and therefore no reason
to read up on its current docs."

Okay, sorry, but I've gotta stoop to this level.

What you're basically telling me and everyone on this list is
that you regularly like to contradict me from _ignorance_?
Seriously! You will contradict me on something you, later
admit you don't use, then turn around and say, "oh, well, I
have no reason to read up on its current docs."

I mean, you have basically (and repeatedly) told people in
your various postings that when it comes to anything
CDRecord-based -- including DVDRecord, CDRecord-ProDVD and
CDRecord+DVDpatch -- you love to continually comment on what
it does or doesn't do, yet you don't use it and it clearly
shows in your answers?!?!?!

And your latest reaction is, yet again, the very typical ...
  "no reason to read up"???

Is it me, or should you just consider shutting your trap?
Seriously? I mean, I really think you respond to me, just to
respond to me -- and really don't give any thought to not
just any accuracy, but whether you have any remote
familiarity with what you're talking about?

My apologies to everyone, even Volker, because this post
_could_ be considered an "attack" -- but I'm tired of this
over and over and over again and again and again.
