Thank you for your help.

I have installed bibledit on ubuntu (which ever version the package manager gave me). For some reason, it will not restore the file that I have transfered from my mac. When I do the restore from my mac, for some reason the process never seems to finish. Is the backup window supposed to automatically disappear when the backup is successful?

To point to the tarball that was created through the Backup Assistant.

(On a side note, I noticed that the Backup Assistant keeps going for
some time even after the backup.tar.gz was created).
