[Dvdrtools-users] Cannot write CD's >= 100 minutes. GRRRR!

I can find *tons* of people having this same problem but
nobody has an answer posted. Hopefully somebody has
found a solution since the historic posts I came across...

Sony dual-format DRU500A (OEM burner)
I'm trying to burn to brand new DVD+RW media.

First I know I have to format the media...

so that works fine (I think) but then when I try to burn
a 2gig iso with dvdrecord I get...

So yes it looks like I have the most up-to-date dvdrecord stuff..

Personally I'm pretty pissed about this. I've used linux for
the past 12 years now and in the last two years I've increasing
become frustrated by simple procedures that are not well
supported by linux. DVD burning being the most recent.

Would somebody PLEASE help me figure out why this doesn't work.

reformatting the disk is ****NOT**** the answer, I've already
tried it several times.
