I just checked and i can't upload ap firmware for stm32 while logged in 
as a user
(with all the rules applied of course), only for LPC based autpilots.
I even reinstalled everything from scratch with the same results.
Ubuntu somehow  does not let the bootloader take full possesion of the 
usb port.
This behavior is common to all versions of paparazzi after ubuntu 10.04 LTS
