Use this commands to add you to plugdev:
sudo adduser <your login> plugdev
sudo adduser <your login> dialout

and this commands to udev rules:

cd <your paparazzi directory>
sudo cp conf/system/udev/rules/50-paparazzi.rules /etc/udev/rules.d/

i didn't copy the paparazzi udev rules and i'm not amember of plugdev group.

Did you copy the paparazzi udev rules? And are you a member of the plugdev group?

There is a page in the wiki about setting up udev rules, unfortunately it seem to be down again right now...

Try running the Paparazzi center with sudo, this is a permission problem and i have it too.
The strange thing is that is not needed for lpc devices...
Also some utilities like speech will not run if you are not running the paparazzi center as root (sudo)
