I hope that it can be preprocess with very simple program which translates iso 
latinx characters to troff \(xx sequeces.  But I did not try it.

One way to resolve this problem is disable japanese in compile time as I wrote 
before.  Another is using runtime switch to enable/disable japanese.

Sorry to bother you with unicode, but looking in source the japanese euc are 
transformed to wchar.
