I thought the benefit of SourceForge was that its admin structures
were integrated across the different facilities?  If the same user
records aren't used for mailing list admin as cvs admin...

You'll have to pardon my ignorance on the administrative workings of
SourceForge.  I'm not an admin on a project on a SF site.

I can understand using the GNU project, but what is this mania for
sourceforges?

Mobility between behemoths is a different problem.  Distribution
between hosting facilities, so that you can have your mailing list in
place A and your CVS in place B and your webspace in places D, E and F
is a different, wider problem.  Oh well, another list to look into.
