Hi folks,

I'm more or less done with the important parts of the template font. I'm still 
working on writing out a description, mostly in case I forget the tricky 
parts. Everything should be ready by the end of this week, but let me know if 
anyone is eager to try things out before then.

To mention a few problems I have no idea how to fix:

a. On Windows, IE refuses to recognize the font as a Bengali font. The only 
table that is supposed to carry this information (according to my cursory 
overview) is the OS/2 table, but that seems to be what it should be. This is 
probably a pfaedit issue, but I'm not sure. Any pointers would be welcome.


b. Both pango and whatever scheme openoffice on linux uses has a bug when it 
comes to rendering a conjunct starting with 'ba'. The 'ba + hasanta' is 
converted to a ba-phala even when not appropriate. For example, 

sh ba hasanta da 

is rendered as 

sha-baphala da

Yudit doesn't have this problem.


c. The 'init' feature (Initial forms) doesn't seem to be supported by 
freetype.
