The excellent listhelper system is (supposed to be) the default for all
new gnu.org mailing lists created through the Savannah interface.
I find it reduces the administrative cost of a mailing list to zero.
(Of course, someone else is still doing work, but less, and more efficiently.)
If any of the Emacs lists are not using it, I encourage you to
switch them. (It manages the input to the bug list, but in a different
way, by moderating debbugs input.)
