I'm not sure I understand.  Are you saying that the code will now only
have 5 levels instead of 10?

As long as the logging output itself is unchanged and duplicity still
accepts -v9, it won't break deja-dup.

I can definitely imagine it makes the code cleaner and easier to
understand, so I'm for it.
