Well, obviously I disagree with that but I will point out that without
the right architecture in place if all you support is PLAIN over TLS
then doing anything ELSE is hard because you don't have the architecture
in place to expand beyond that. Whatever else you say about nmh, at
least we have what I feel is a reasonable network security architecture
now, with the concept of handling different SASL mechanisms and enough
abstraction that if a new SASL mechanism is developed it's easy to add
it to all network protocols at once.
