got 2 mldonkeys running....both uploading with max 16k

me:~ > ping -c1 www.google.de

64 bytes from 216.239.57.101: icmp_seq=0 ttl=48 time=243.086 ms

dont seem to bee a fast peer....for testing i only use

me:~ > ping -c1 141.1.1.1
PING 141.1.1.1 (141.1.1.1): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 141.1.1.1: icmp_seq=0 ttl=248 time=82.361 ms

dont know what this box is - i only know its fast and always up with
this ip!

my line is an adsl with 768/256 on a p2-450 box with 128MB ram....much
smaller than your machine....ever tried an up-to-date version (2.02-9)?
