Energy arguments aside, the user has no control over a datacenter. If they're
running their life from hardware which they don't own and where there is no
prospect of auditing that hardware or ensuring that special boxes have not
been plugged into it then the security model is busted and they're in a
sandboxed liberty situation at the whim of ever-changing TOS, state/corporate
surveillance, etc.
