Hi,
Are you suggesting that I do both of these, or are you questioning whether I'm doing both?Yes, you need to set both to resolution. Sorry I wasn't questioning you. Your /etc/default/grubGRUB_GFXMODE=800x600 GRUB_GFXPAYLOAD_LINUX=800x600
Okay, I've done this.
And at your grub.cfg....set gfxpayload=640x480Why is this then at 640x480 when you have set to 800x600? I think you need to "update-grub" or "grub-mkconfig -o..."
My apologies for that confusion. I thought there was a chance the resolution was 800x600, so I set it to 640x480 at one point, because there's no mistaking that size.
I've done all this, and it is still the same. Is there some way to do it directly from the grub command-line?
Does the grub.cfg look as it should? That is the latest version with the changes I've done above.
Thanks, Alex
And yes, if you do not use theme, you should ignore my previous thread. (but adding them does no harm, just to add). _______________________________________________ Help-grub mailing list address@hidden https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/help-grub
