Yes, you keep repeating that.
And I keep repeating to get gpsd from git head.
Asking the same question again will not likely yield a different answer.
build.adoc has short, simple, DIY instructions. Takes most people
10 minutes or less.

Dunno. I know some people have private packages they build for their
own use. It would not be supported here.

You can do it in hex. Very tedious and error prone.
Much easier to build gpsd from git.
