Go for a day as a visitor if you can - well worth a visit.  As for FS-UK 
Manchester, I probably wouldn't bother going to increase the profile of free 
sofware.  

Since it's Linux Expo (but should probably be called "Free and Open Source 
Software Expo" if you look at the range of exhibitors), we'll be preaching to 
the choir and I see that FSF is already there.

Another alternative, if we want the FS-UK Manchester name to be there, would be 
to contact one of the other .org stands like FSF and offer to have someone 
manning the stand for a few hours in return for them having an FSUK Manchester 
poster up on their stand.
