Yerp, I was intending to hit lugmasters, for them to pass to the individual
lists at their leisure.

Make that UKUUG-Linux-SIG maybe? (he says, replying to himself :) I'm not
personally a member - if anyone is and can comment, that would be useful!

I've searched for an organisation related to debian-uk, and couldn't find
one - can anyone fill me in on this? I'm not sure whether debian-uk is
necessarily a good place, since it's a low volume list, so I'd probably pass
it onto the listmaster first :)

Good idea anyway - I think that's definitely another interested party. Shame
there's no Open Source in Government either - that's definitely something we
ought to look at doing pretty sharpish as well, before Tony gets roped in
for the Windows XP Release too.

Find attached the amended charter - all corrections have been made except
the dropped clause, which has been completely reworded. However, I'm only
going to rewrite it (the clause) once - if people still think it's a
problem, it's gone :) Are there any other changes people want made?

Also, I've made an attempt at a info-release type thing (it's sort of a
press release, but that sounds so naff, and it's not being sent to the
press!!). I've included all the information I think relevant - but again,
it's all up for discussion. If people don't like some / most / all of it,
rewrites / alternate versions etc. more than welcome - I'm just trying to
stimulate discussion :) The things I haven't done: link to the charter (this
should probably go on the list homepage if everyone agrees with it?),
written a whole lot (do people think it's too short? to light on detail?
etc?).

Comments?

Cheers,

Alex.
