Hi all,
By editing the CoreBlog Zope product I made a "functional dummy" of the
course announcement page - the one discussed earlier in the mailing
list. Have a look of the past discussion at:
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/fle3-dev/2004-07/threads.html
So, I would like to get your feedback, comments and ideas of the course
announcement page. You can have a look of the dummy, at:
http://turing.uiah.fi:9673/blog/
The idea is that the course announcements page is available for any
anonymous web users (of course only in if the Fle3 server is connected
to Internet).
The teacher(s) of the course can add to the page three different kind of
entries: Announcements, ToDos and Events. These entries are archived and
categorized according to the category of each entry.
The announcement functionality is build on top of the CoreBlog
(http://coreblog.org/), that is a Zope product for having weblog.
Because of this you may syndicate the content with XML, read the page
with your favourite blog reader, trackback etc. Comments to entries are
not allowed, as the idea is that the "knowledge building" does not
end-up to here but stays inside Fle3.
In the login page of the Fle3 instance there will also be a list (with
links) of all the course announcements pages of the instance. When you
create a new course you can choose if there will be a course
announcement page.
Let us know what do you think about this?
