Agreed, which is why I think it's perfectly fine to have anonymous
lambdas in there [even tho they are still "scary higher-order
programming" to many professional programmers, last I checked ;-) ]

We don't disagree on the advantages and disadvantages.  We just disagree
on the respective weight we put on them.
