I tried to find that compromise again, all I found was "See my message
to Stefan for a change that would make s.el ok to add." but could not
find this message. If you would be so kind as to quote Richard again
so I have his perspective.

No, that's not what I am saying. I'd be interesting to see if you can
understand what I am trying to say without me explaining it in
details, because I feel that many people would understand what I am
trying to say, even if it is not said perfectly. This would be good
exercice to figure out how I could say things differently and how you
could try to understand things differently.

Can you give it another try? And if you still don't understand I'll
explain it another way.
