I am evaluating duplicity on Ubuntu Feisty, which has version 0.4.2
installed. Backing up works fine via either ssh or ftp. However,
everything else seems to be broken:)
Most importantly restore doesn't work:
duplicity --encrypt-key "81AEC9E9"
scp://address@hidden/Spreadsheets /home/ian/tmp
duplicity-full.2007-09-26T12:16:11+01:00.manifest.gpg 100% 509
0.5KB/s 00:00
duplicity-full.2007-09-26T12:16:11+01:00.vol1.difftar 100% 3064KB
3.0MB/s 00:00
No files found in archive - nothing restored.
This happens with both ssh and ftp on a variety of target computers. I
have tried running as root, so I don't think it's a permissions problem.
Obviously write only backups aren't much use:)
If I try --list-current-files no files are listed.
Verify also seems to be broken:
duplicity --encrypt-key "81AEC9E9" --verify /home/data/Spreadsheets
scp://address@hidden/Spreadsheets
Command line error: --verify option cannot be used when backing up
See the duplicity manual page for instructions
If I upgrade to the current version is this likely to fix these
problems? Am I doing something dumb?
Ian.
