Ah, I didn't see that, even though I looked :(
I see that it is needed before a Divisio Maior/Minor as well - it would
seem that we could simply make the commands that insert these *always*
insert an "s" for example

s \divisioMinima

works just fine, and doesn't show anything in the Denemo Display to
puzzle the user. Here is an example -
I notice there is a spacing problem though, before that - see attached.
