windows users usually use FAT32 or NTFS:

nparted (1) , which is included in knoppix, can repartition (or
destroy) fat32.

ntfsresize (2) can repartition NTFS.

in debian-installer (3) will be a graphical partition tool (4) by Vikram
Singh. I will ask about the ntfs/fat32 repartition status. Would be nice
to have one frontend that combines ntfs and fat32 tools smoothly.

"If You Need to Resize Partitions (this is not part of the install)
"cfdisk" can only create and delete partitions. To resize partitions
you need a tool like "nparted" or "parted" which is on the disk (or
"partition magic" or "ranish"). Warning I personnally destroyed my
partitions using "nparted", however my partition table was not clean and
I did not know what I was doing. Nparted can resize FAT32. "

"The ntfsresize program non-destructively resizes Windows XP/2000/NT4 or
Windows Server 2003 NTFS filesystems. It is part of the open source
Linux-NTFS project and included in the ntfsprogs package."
"No destroyed filesystem was reported who followed the instructions
correctly."
