Sorry, I just noticed that the window behavior is now configurable. I will try to install 3.6.18 and test it out.Teus Benschop wrote:Thanks for doing that--it definitely makes it more user-friendly. I have a dual boot setup (so I can run Libronix), so my projects are on a second hard drive formatted in NTFS. A symlink in my home folder in Linux makes it work there, but what about Windows? I understand that Vista supports symlinks, but what about XP? Would it be possible to create an option in the gui to have a custom location for project files?I don't know enough about Windows to comment on it, and the caution Dan made likely still stands, but there was a mechanism for pointing bibledit to another data directory in earlier versions. However thinking that symlinks do the job well, I removed that code in later versions. In the version that will be in git tomorrow, that mechanism has been restored. It's workings will be described in the online help, How to..., under the heading "How to modify the place where Bibledit stores its data?". Teus.I noticed that in more recent versions of Bibledit (I'm using the Ubuntu package of 3.5) the design style for Bibledit has moved in a Mac-like direction (as with Gimp) with multiple windows for each instance of Bibledit. It's not my favorite way of doing things (the chief reason, after cost, that I don't switch to Mac--superficial, I know), but at least in Kubuntu 8.10 (KDE 4.1) clicking on the Bibledit icon on the task bar doesn't actually bring up the translation window. I have to minimize other programs until I get to it. Perhaps it's a KDE thing, so I am installing Gnome to try it out. Just thought I would mention it. Perhaps it has been fixed in the latest git version.Daniel
