Hi,
Indeed it seems that you are using oss now. In my knoledge, oss
is not able to multiplex the sound signal. hence if the hard is
not able to do it it cannot work. You'd better use alsa and the
dmix plugin (which is standard now) to output the sound. With
this configuration you'll be able to multiplex
speech-dispatcher's output and any other sound source.
