This is very odd. I've been using rdiff-backup for four years or so,
currently on about 40 servers, and I've never seen it backup directories
that weren't specified on the command line. I suggest you run it with a
very verbose setting (at least 6) and save the log to a file. Put that
log on the web somewhere and post a link to it here, and I'll look at it.
