Muse2 and Rosegarden both provide graphical notation editing and MIDI
sequencing capabilities. Rosegarden can also do Lilypond output, I
think Muse. I think they will be easier for you to use rather than
trying to get Lilypond to understand MIDI notes, Lilypond only
understands standard musical notation best.
