Possibly many things. But unless you give us more information the answers will be as imprecise as the problem description. I do not see problems with octave crashing except the long-standing-and-yet-unresolved issue of "clear all" and certain octave-forge packages. Please give us more information. Which version of octave, where installed from, which OS?And most important of all: please provide a simple example (or examples) of when octave crashes.
Unless you can provide more information it will be virtually impossible to help you. benjamin
