I also have a DEC Alpha with the same setup and haven't had any
problems, yet.
I have created an Octave directory on my machine for m-files via
anonymous ftp. Please add or update anything present on it.
It will be a mirror of address@hidden (Oscar Marquez [GTS])
octave ftp site sometime in the future. It has the latest multiplot
m-files. It's at:
ftp://axp745.gsfc.nasa.gov/pub/octave
