The problem is that when you use math mode, lilypond fails to calculate
the length of the TeX.
The result is that TeX containing i.e. fractions will be shorter than
expected and hence displayed too far to the left.
A solution would be to left-justify the lyrics instead of centering them
- but how do you do that?
If you set

LyricText \override #'X-offset-callbacks = #'()

It works for everything but the first syllable.
