grog checks for /^\.(PH|SA)/ to indicate an mm document, and you
obviously have neither.  Latest CVS won't help in this case IIRC,
although I can't check at the moment.

Thanks for the report, I've added it to the list of grog deficiencies
which I plan on fixing.
