I know what's wrong; ImageMagick (convert, display, import, mogrify,
etc) doesn't quite do EPS correctly. When you run groff, you'll see an
error message like:
grops:file.eps:NNN: missing argument
where 'file.eps' is your file and NNN is some line number. grops is
missing some info to correctly place the file. tiff2ps also generates
iffy EPS output.
xv, gimp, autotrace* and pnmtops produce good output, if somewhat
variable in file size.
Stewart
*: autotrace has been patched -- version 0.24 is usable now if you get
the source from sourceforge's CVS.
