You know, I think that if gnuherds is to become a vibrant group, then
it shouldn't be dependent on FSF or anyone else.  It must learn to
stand on its own two feet.

The messages I'm hearing from the FSF is that (groups like) gnuherds
are not part of their primary focus, but they're willing to help them
if it doesn't cost them too much (in time and effort) and detract from
their main issues.

If FSF are going to help, then that's good.  But I think a plan should
be made which doesn't depend on them nor anyone else.

In terms of hosting, I don't see why a PC and ADSL can't suffice in
the short term.  Obviously it won't scale if and when there are
millions of hits per day; when that time approaches, however is the
correct time to start looking for alternatives.
