Well, I see gNewSense not as a system to use myself, but as a means to
promote Free Software, by giving it to others. (hint: Christmas comming)

So, for me wine is less a problem than firefox.

Firefox is actively promoting unfree extensions and plugins, while wine
and ndiswrapper just *offer* more possibilities, more capabilities.
Offering more possibilities makes Free Software look good, promoting
unfree software makes Free Software look bad.

Many people tell me "What's the problem with Flash? It even plays in
Firefox without any trouble. And that *is* Free Software". They are
really not aware, that not Firefox plays it, but a plugin. Of course,
they had to install the plugin. But that was just a little bit of
hassle for them, which doesn't let them think about it, and soon
it's fogotten...
(The same for Java, but that seems to be solved soon)

On my system wine always prints a warning, when it starts. Does it do it
in gNewSense also? It should - because that's a reminder that *not*
everything is fine with that program.
