Selling GPL'ed software is fine. The stipulation is that binary software
must have a written offer to distribute the source later, to "any third
party" - so, if I downloaded a GPL'ed binary and gave you a copy, I'd
pass on the written offer to you and you could then request a copy from
where I got it from too.
Of course, if they're not giving you the offer of source, then they're
not complying with the licence.
