I think a larger group of people think it is useful for documentation 
to be free software, where software has the original "not hardware" 
sort of meaning. But, as you say, this is a different discussion and 
not directly relevant to AFFS aims, so I'd appreciate it taking place 
elsewhere. People who want to see past discussions about it should 
look to the debian project's legal list, as their archives are public.
