That's funny. I just noticed my copy segfaults too, when you select the level
package (i.e. "enigma"), but only when you start it from some directory other
than the CVS tree. I hadn't noticed this because before I was working out of
the CVS tree.
I'll try doing a CVS update and a reinstall to see if its related to the
"index" file problem that was mentioned.
