So is Microsoft's VSCode. I still mistrust them.
You can use "Free Software" (what they call Open Source, because they
detest freedom) for purely strategic reasons.
Note that I am not prescribing what you use or not: I'm just trying
to explain why *I* prefer not to touch some things.
