What this says to me is that it isn't a matter of a substantive
issue on which someone is right or wrong.  It's that we've fallen
into a pattern of not being kind to each other, and retaliating
to each other.

Maybe it would be useful for various people to look at the messages
they have previously written, and look for ways to have said
them more kindly.
