Debian installs Emacs as emacs-version, and often also emacs-snapshot for a later one.
This is not true anymore (except for emacs and emacs-snapshot, but emacs-snapshot is not in official Debian repositories AFAIK). Now the package is just "emacs", and it is not possible anymore to have multiple emacs version installed (except of course if you build them, or create their packages, yourself).
