something else on cheap media:
I posted earlier on this list that I had problems writing cheap media with a
pioneer 104 and the new firmware.
for anyone else with this problem:
first try dvdrecord -force, and if that doesn't help, flash your firmware to a
hacked version. Contrary to what pioneer states, this is possible even after
the newest upgrade.
You even get 2x writing on any media (including rw) for free if you want to.
