Subject: Re: [Denemo-devel] A useful looking link for cross compiling... Re: gtk-app-devel-list Digest, Vol 105, Issue 20

With the help of the guile list I have linked denemo to the
libguile-srfi stuff - I literally hacked the full path to the srfi
library into the Makefile of denemo as I don't know how to tell the
configure.ac to link to it. (So I had to use the trick of disabling the
checksum count in mxe's Makefile so it used the hacked tar.gz without
downloading it again).
This gave a denemo which correctly loads srfi-1 (it requires a patch to
guile so that srfi/srfi-1.scm does not try and load the extension, as
detailed on the guile m/l).
There is still some problems with the guile loading stuff, however. I
thought I would try to tidy up by moving the tarball on to be the latest
git master. But copying in the git master tarball and removing the
patches for denemo gave me an error message on make denemo:

make[3]: *** No rule to make target `../../denemo/libsmf/smf.c', needed
by `libsmf_a-smf.o'. Stop.
make[3]: Leaving directory
`/home/rshann/mxe/tmp-denemo/denemo-1.0.0~rc9/libsmf'
make[2]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory
`/home/rshann/mxe/tmp-denemo/denemo-1.0.0~rc9'

this despite smf.c being present:

~/mxe/tmp-denemo/denemo-1.0.0~rc9/libsmf$ ls smf.c
smf.c

it must be the ../../denemo bit which is wrong, should
be ../../tmp-denemo or something.

Any ideas? (I am expecting this to fail to link of course, until I hack
in the libguile-srfi1 library...)
