The first source file is found, so it's not a "missing source" issue.
The info page, the on-line manual, and the archive don't go into
anything as weird as this.

The Machine Code Window pointer works as before, so the underlying
avr-gdb seems to be still OK. (And I haven't rebuilt the tools since it
worked fine.)

Any pointers on what I might have inadvertently done to confuse ddd?

Hi Erik,

Can you provide some more information?

- what revision is your OS, debugger, and ddd?
- what is your compile line
(a lot of people don't know to turn on debugging!)

You say that

"Initially ddd was kind enough to show tracking PC pointers in both
the Source Window and Machine Code Window. After the latest build
of my application, only the latter pointer shows,..."

So what changed? between the time when it worked, and when it failed?

If you're desperate, you can try deleting your settings directory ~/.ddd

Cheers,
Andrew
