Source Window pointer went west

Initially ddd was kind enough to show tracking PC pointers in both
the Source Window and Machine Code Window. After the latest build of my
application, only the latter pointer shows, and ddd no longer loads the
next source file when execution runs over the source file boundary.

The first source file is found, so it's not a "missing source" issue.
The info page, the on-line manual, and the archive don't go into
anything as weird as this.

The Machine Code Window pointer works as before, so the underlying
avr-gdb seems to be still OK. (And I haven't rebuilt the tools since it
worked fine.)

Any pointers on what I might have inadvertently done to confuse ddd?
