Hi again,

I've also tried to remove the old ~/.dctc and ~/.gnome2 directories and 
recreated the settings from scratch. But I still dont get the GDL's to 
start download :-(

I still get the
   --> INFO ] "scan_met_dir"start|
   --> INFO ] "scan_met_dir"no dir|
messages.
