That might be true, but it is not pertinent.  You've changed the
subject.

The pertinent point is that users do not HAVE TO be git experts to
work on glibc, much less on GNU packages in general.  Whether they
might find some advantage in becoming git experts is beside the point.

You're using arguments with gaps in them, and disregarding the reasons
on the other side.  Arguments like that are not ratinal.  Furthermore,
you are trying to reopen a decision I've already made.

Please accept my decision: the GNU Project welcomes the use of git,
but also respects contributors that don't want to use git.
